Service Corner Projects & Events
One-time service projects you can pick up to do on your own, anywhere or anytime you are able to give in support of others in your community. We focus on addressing needs in our own community with projects that are impactful, but also simple enough that people can pick them up quickly. We have two Service Corner locations on campus, located inside Kahlert Village and the Union Building. We are also offering Service Corner Hours scheduled nearly every week this semester.
Ongoing Projects
Greeting Cards for Seniors
Decorate and write greeting cards to seniors at the Capitol Hills Senior Center.
We will provide an instruction sheet with the cards if requested.
Knitted Hats for Adults
Volunteers will use a loom to knit an adult sized winter hat for a member of the Salt Lake community in need.
Must have a University ID (UNID) to check-out knitting looms.
Service Project Kits can be picked up from:
- Bennion Center (located inside the University Union, Room 101)
- Monday thru Friday, 8 am to 5 pm
-
Bennion Kiosk* (located inside Kahlert Village)- Monday thru Thursday, 2 to 8 pm

- Sunday, 1 to 5 pm
*Due to construction at Kahlert Village, our kiosk location has been moved to room 1108

Please Note:
We are NOT accepting plastic bags to use for Bags to Beds at this time. Thank you for your donations. We would love your help on processing those bags into "plarn" (plastic yarn).
