Meet Tracy: Why I'm Serving at the Bennion Center

Hi! My name is Tracy Phan, and this is my second year at the University of Utah. This upcoming school year, I will be managing social media posts about community outreach opportunities available through the Bennion Center. These opportunities are perfect for anyone exploring ways to be more involved in the community or just looking to make an impact on someone’s day!

At the moment, I am double majoring in Psychology and Art with a minor in Human Development and Family Studies. Deciding to attend the University of Utah allowed me to explore different areas of study, while giving me the opportunity to meet new people and learn about another part of Utah.

Along with being on the Bennion Center’s communication team, I’m also involved with the New Student and Family Programs as a Campus Life Mentor and I’m looking forward to becoming a Psychology research assistant for the fall semester.

The Bennion Center had been something that I didn’t really know a lot about, but I decided that it’d be a good place to start to become involved in the community and school. Through it, I’ve met amazing people who work together as a team to improve the place we live in. Finding the opportunity to become part of the communication team was somewhat unexpected, but it is and will continue to be a worthwhile adventure. As Lewis Carroll wrote, “if you don’t know where you’re going, any road will get you there.”
