Health Access Saturday Service Project

Project Options

Thank you for your interest in serving on February 23rd at the Access to Healthcare Saturday Service Project. Project options are listed below. All projects go from 9-12:30 with breakfast and check-n starting at 8:30. If you have any questions, please contact Bryce Williams, Student Programs Coordinator at bryce.williams@utah.edu

DAYS FOR GIRLS

About: Volunteers will assembly feminine hygiene kits for women across the world.

Address: 200 S. Central Campus Drive

Age requirements: Must be 12 years of age to participate in this project.

 

FRIENDS FOR SIGHT

About: Volunteers will be trained on vision screening protocols to be used at vision screening events later in the semester.

Address: 200 S. Central Campus Drive

Age requirements: Must be 18 years of age to participate.

Other notes: This training is for those who are able to contribute at least 15 hours of service within the next year. Please plan accordingly. Ideally, to attain these hours, you will need to have a weekday morning or two available to serve.


KNITTING NECESSITIES

About: Volunteers will knit hats for newborns.

MALIHEH FREE CLINIC

About: Volunteers will participate in a deep cleaning of the building to help provide services to the clinic’s clients.

PRIMARY CHILDRENS CRAFT KITS

About: Volunteers will create and assemble craft kits to be used in the waiting rooms at Primary Children’s Hospital

Address: 200 S. Central Campus Drive

Age requirements: Must be 13 years of age to participate

 

UTAH NALOXONE

About: Volunteers will learn about naloxone and how it is administered. From there volunteers will assemble naloxone kits that can be used in the community.

Age requirements: Must be 16 years of age to participate
