Ongoing Volunteer Opportunities

Salt Lake Peer Court

Salt Lake Peer Court is a juvenile court diversion program. SLPC adult volunteers offer support and guidance to youth volunteers during weekly court hearings- empowering youth to lead as involved stakeholders in their community through a restorative justice program. Shriners Hospital

Shriners Hospital in Salt Lake City is looking for volunteers! Positions range from volunteering in Inpatient Department, Recreational Therapy, Pet Therapy, Interpreters, Greeters, and Drivers. Data Entry  |  Bears Ears 

Utah Diné Bikéyah is looking for a volunteer 1-3 hours per week to help their effort to establish a Bears Ears national monument. Work takes place at the UDB office, 352 S. Denver Street, Suite 315. Contact:, with "Data Entry Volunteer" as the email subject if you're interested. 

Book Club Leader | Park City Library

Park City Libary is seeking 2-3 volunteers to lead a book club for adults with intellectual disabilities in Park City. The group meets once a week and they ask that a volunteer stay at least as long as it takes to read one book (approximately 12 weeks.) The group meets on Mondays from noon-1 at the Park City Library in the cafe. For more information contact Libby at

Real Life | Cottonwood High School

Real Life, an after school program serving refugee teens, is looking for college-age students to volunteer at Cottonwood High School. Volunteers are needed Mondays and Wednesdays from 2:45 p.m. - 4:45 p.m.  During the first hour volunteers will help students with homework. The second hour would be spent assisting with programming (cultural activities, field trips and service projects).  For more information

After School Program Volunteers | Woodrow Wilson Elementary

Enthusiastic and cheerfful volunteers needed to help with kindergarten and first grade students in after school program at Woodrow Wilson M-Th, 4 p.m. - 6 p.m. Curriculum and activities planned. Just need a extra sets of hands. Contact Georgia with Boy Scouts of America at 801.661.3280.

Head Start

Head Start is a comprehensive preschool program serving low-income families. Each year, we serve more than 2000 children, with at least 10% of our enrollment being students with disabilities. If you enjoy working with young children, we would love your help! Volunteers needed to interact positively with students in the classroom and assist teaching staff with implementing daily activities. Boreal Toad Citizen Science

Join Utah’s Hogle Zoo to conduct surveys for a native and at-risk species: the Boreal Toad. Trips to public lands throughout the state are scheduled throughout the summer. For more information check out the Boreal Toad Citizen Science Program Announcement and Citizen Science Event Calendar


Youthlinc is looking for volunteers to do one-on-one mentoring with newly arrived refugee teenagers in Salt Lake.
