Community Engaged Learning Classes

Community engaged learning (formerly known as service-learning) is a method of teaching where students, faculty and community partners work together to apply knowledge in authentic settings that address community needs and meet instructional objectives using action and reflection. Students apply what they learn in class into a project with a community partner, further cementing knowledge from the class itself. Partner organizations receive fresh student perspectives, campus resources and support, and an avenue through which agencies can affect student’s understanding of community.
