The University of Utah was designated a Community Engaged Institution by the Carnegie Foundation in January 2011 (to learn more about the designation click on "Community Engagement at the U" above). This designation is an ackowledgement of the hard work of countless scholars and students at the University who blend their academic interests with their desire to serve the community through a variety of engaged teaching, research and service endeavors.
