Reflection
Reflection is thinking about a service experience in order to connect the service experience to the course material, and so much more. Reflections provide an opportunity to think about and learn from experience. Reflection also helps students understand that by working in the community they are fulfilling an obligation that every citizen in a democracy shares: to participate in one's community. This is perhaps the most important learning process of a Scholars’ experience.
REQUIREMENT
Reflections are due the 10th of each month with the hours log form. A monthly reflection requires a minimum of 250 words, and the scholar will earn .25 credits for each monthly reflection, totally 1 reflection each semester if all 4 monthly reflections are completed.
Summer reflections are May, June, July and August. –One submission, one verification, one reflection.
A scholar can also choose to complete a semester reflection in additional to or instead of the monthly reflections. This reflection is due at the end of the semester.
