SLS Educational Workshops

In order to expand participants’ experiences in the Scholars Program, students are required to attend at least 8 events approved in the SLS Educational Workshop Series. The workshops are comprised of lectures, presentations, speakers, conferences, and forums brought to you by the Bennion Center in collaboration with various other university departments and community partners including The Hinckley Institute of Politics, The Women’s Resources Center, ASUU, the Tanner Humanities Center, and Career Services. If the Bennion Center is a direct sponsor of the events, Scholars can sign-in at the event to get credit. If it is sponsored by another organization, the Scholar will have to write a half page detailing, the time and location of the event, the topic, the speaker (if applicable), a description of the event, and what was learned.

A calendar of events is available at www.bennioncenter.org. If you are planning on attending an event not designated as a SLS Workshop event on the Bennion Center calendar, but would like to apply it to your 8 required events, please get it pre-approved by the Scholars Coordinator.
